Adding Mixed Numbers

Today we started to add mixed numbers. We also decomposed the numbers using the associative property. 

We also had a special show and tell today. We were able to meet Darby!

Online Research

We have been doing some online research for our Lewis and Clark reports. Finding a reputable source online can be a challenge.  Today I showed the class a website that looked very real. This shows that you can't trust everything online. Have them show you at home!

Informational Text Structure

This week we are looking at text structure in reading. Each day we will look at different passages looking for keywords/clues to determine the structure of the text. We have looked at descriptive as well as order and sequence this week.

Science Stations

Today we started science stations reviewing everything we have learned about matter over the past few weeks. We looked at properties of matter, mixtures, finding the volume of classroom items, and looking at the density of items. We will finish up tomorrow. 

Fraction Review

We have a math test this Friday over fractions. Today we started to work on a study guide with a partner. We will continue our review tomorrow as a class. 

Solutions Lab

We are learning about the difference between mixtures and solutions. Today we worked on a virtual lab testing different solutions.
