Last Day Eve

What a fun last full day of school!  We cleaned out and cleaned up our room today. All school supplies are coming home today and students do not need backpacks tomorrow.
I have the BEST class!  They completely surprised me today with an end of the year party. They are awesome and I will miss them so much!
Part of the party was a collage made by Gabby of my love of class selfies!
Don't forget tomorrow is a half day and no lunch will be served.

We have started out countdown to fifth grade. I can't believe we only have 10 more days!  We also had a group activity today. The egg drop challenge. It was egg-slposive fun and none of our eggs survived!

iDiscover

We had a great morning with a visit from many of our grandparents. Students were able to demonstrate many of the new makers space activities for their grandparents and they were able to lead the groups if they did not have a grandparent visit.  It was a great experience!

Helicopter Trials

We did an experiment in class looking at the velocity of different helicopters we made in class. Students increased the weight on their helicopters and then compared trials to see if adding weight would increase or decrease the speed of the helicopter.

Marshall the Miracle Dog

On Friday we were lucky enough to meet Marshall the Miracle Dog!  Make sure to ask your fourth grader all about him and check out the book with his story.

These Tessellations are turning out great! They are definitely a bit more challenging than students originally thought.

Timelines, Tessellations, and Blues- oh my!

We finished our timeline of fourth grade. It was so fun to look back at everything we have done this year. This went right along with our reading unit. We are writing historical timelines to help us understand our historical fiction characters' perspectives. We also started a project in math- creating Tessellations.

Rotational Symmetry

Look at these cute rotational symmetry projects!  Students created a pie piece and rotated it around the circle to show rotational symmetry.
