Look at all the colorful tie dye for Peace, Love, and Kindness!  Our book clubs are moving along very well. The students are bringing great thoughts on their sticky notes to discuss. 
After an intense day on the Oregon Trail, we took a little brain break and ran the triangle in back of our class. Did you know 6.5 times around is a mile?!

Look at the cute pajamas to start Kindness Week. We are also making great progress in book clubs. Our Oregon Trail game has been very fun too. Today some animals became injured crossing the river. Tomorrow we are going to encounter the Shoshone.

We have started an Oregon Trail game in social studies. Students are on different wagon company teams. Today they decided on their jobs and the supplies they will take on their journey. We will see who gets to Oregon first!

Today we learned about decimals to the hundredths place. We also related decimals to money and practiced some of our counting money skills!

In math we started new stations this week. We are continuing to work on fractions by converting recipes and using a United States map to answer questions. 
We also started new book clubs this week. All groups had to create a plan for reading.

Today we started to make a plan for our second informational book. Students are able to choose their own topic and decide what types of writing they will have in each chapter.

Today we participated in science stations.  The students were applying the concepts we learned in our matter chapter to each of the stations. We will finish tomorrow and this will take the place of a test.
