Velocity and Book Clubs

Today we started historical fiction book clubs. The class is into this unit!  Our read aloud is a historical fiction book Number the Stars which focuses on the holocaust. The class is very interested in the topic and when they started to read their books today they were motivated and took notes on the who, what, when, where, why. We started force and motion this week and today did an experiment on velocity.  Students had to time a marble as it went down ramps of different heights.
