Perimeter around the room!

Today we talked about finding the perimeter of objects. We used the word "rim" to helped us remember that perimeter is the distance around a closed figure.  The class then chose objects around the room to find the perimeter.

Measuring Angles

Today we learned to use a protractor and measure angles. The class did a great job and we will practice more next week. We also had a viewing party and watched the iMovies the class worked on. They turned out great and they are coming soon to the blog.

Weekly Math Stations

We have had some fun this week with our weekly math stations. We have a measurement station and we are measuring all over the room including how far we can jump and throw a paper airplane. We also have some partner decimal games, a fact fluency activity, and ALEKS.

Don't forget we have a science test tomorrow!
