Buddy Time

We love to get together with our first grade buddies from Mrs. Boyd's room. Today we played a game making Valentine "love bugs". The first graders even explained the rules to the fourth graders and all groups worked very well together!

Decimals and Social Studies Review

This class is doing awesome with their decimals!  We have even started writing them as fractions which is earlier than expected. Today our focus was tenths and tomorrow we will spend more time on hundredths. We also reviewed for Thursdays social studies test playing the online game Kahoot. They get super competitive!  Caroline and Eli were the champs today!

Finished Reports!

Today most students finished up their informational writing. They turned out great and I am so impressed they wrote four chapters and added text features as well!   We also had another birthday today!

Westward Expansion

Today we made maps online showing how the pioneers moved west and the struggles they faced. Don't forget we have a chapter 9 math test tomorrow. Study those fractions!

Pioneers and Essays

Today we learned more about the first pioneers that came to Missouri. They had limited space in their covered wagons and had to make tough choices over what to bring.  We also worked hard on adding transitions to our essays for our reports. They are looking great and due Friday.
