Reading and Empathy
We have been learning about characters and how they change over time in reading. Today we used the book Chocolate Milk Por Favor to learn about both a character changing and also empathy. They did a great job with this discussing with a partner.

Division Strategies and Debating
In math we used a strategy called repeated subtraction to help us with division. Students can use this strategy to help with tricky division problems- but we are still working on memorizing them as well.
In reading we talked about debatable ideas in a text and how to use evidence from the text to support our ideas.

Google Classroom Success!
It has been a little over a week using Google Classroom for our homework. I have to say I am impressed with the students. They are much more tech savvy than I am! At the end of the day they can login at school when the assignment comes up. I know some of them have busy nights so this gives them some extra practice time. Also they have study guides coming home tonight for our math test this Friday.
