Candy Coated Rock Cycle ๐๐ฌ
Today we reviewed the Rock Cycle by using Starburst candy to help model it. First we broke up the candy into “sediments”. Then the sediments came together to form a sedimentary rock. We then applied heat and pressure to make a metamorphic rock. Finally we melted the metamorphic to “magma” which cooled into an igneous rock. It was a fun way to practice the cycle!

Cahokia Mounds
We had a fun day at Cahokia Mounds! I was so impressed with our class and their great behavior. We even got some compliments from other museum guests how well behaved our class was in the movie. We also lucked out on the weather- no rain and it wasn’t hot! I’m still not sure how many steps to the top. Kids were telling me they counted 154, 160, 159- we never could agree on it but we all agreed it sure was easier going down!
