Writing About Louisiana Purchase

Today we started to take notes on the Louisiana Purchase. Our room was filled with social studies books, library books, and tablets researching. Tomorrow students will each start to write a chapter about the Louisiana Purchase for their informational report.

Gallery Walk in Writing

Today we took some time to celebrate great writing with a gallery walk. Students were able to read and comment on other students' writing. 

Muffins with Mom

Thanks to all the moms that came in early today to read and enjoy some muffins with your fourth grader!  The class had so much fun reading with you!

Buzzing About Books

Today we met in small groups and "buzzed" with our neighbors about the books we are reading independently. Students had to give the title, author, what page they are on, and then answer a question for the group. Today we told our group what character in our book we would play if it became a movie and what scene they think would be the best in a movie. They had some great discussions!
