Today we started to take notes on the Louisiana Purchase. Our room was filled with social studies books, library books, and tablets researching. Tomorrow students will each start to write a chapter about the Louisiana Purchase for their informational report.
Today we met in small groups and "buzzed" with our neighbors about the books we are reading independently. Students had to give the title, author, what page they are on, and then answer a question for the group. Today we told our group what character in our book we would play if it became a movie and what scene they think would be the best in a movie. They had some great discussions!
